FAQ

APPLICATION PROCESS

+
How do I apply to GAPA Model Agency?

Simply fill in the above form and upload your recent photographs as per the instructions. You will receive an auto-reply explaining what happens next. It costs nothing to apply. Places are limited.

+
How much does it cost to join?

We do not charge a registration fee. We do have a professional photo solution to help create a Z-Card which is the primary tool we use to market our talent, which does incur a cost. This will be offered to you if you secure a place on one of our boards.

+
Why was my application unsuccessful?

We receive hundreds of applications every week and only have limited places on our books. Certain categories and age groups are busier than others and we are guided by the requirements of our clients.

BOOKINGS

+
Why was I not selected to attend a casting?

In general, we receive briefs from our clients on a daily basis and then we submit the Z-Cards of all the talent who fit. It is then up to the client to select who they would like to see for the casting. This is why a strong Z-Card is so important.

+
Why was I not booked for a job after attending the casting?

This Industry is very competitive and out of all the people who attend a casting for a given role, only one person is ultimately going to be booked. This decision rests exclusively with the client and we have no input into the final selection. Our best advice is to keep trying and keep improving.

Does every model require a tax number?

Regardless of your status outside of the Industry (age, employment status), everyone who is booked in our Industry is regarded as a freelance artist. This means that you will pay the standard freelance taxation rate of 25% on every booking and to facilitate this, every model requires their own tax number. This is government mandated and there is no way around this.

+
May I be signed with more than one agency?

Only one agent at a time. Having multiple agents creates confusion for clients. Every job is always contracted and agents do not willingly disclose the terms of their contracts to each other.

+
Are there any guarantees of work?

An agent can never provide a guarantee of work. We identify talent that we believe can work in our Industry but ultimately it is up to the client to decide who they book. We work on a commission basis so we want everyone to work as often as possible so we are always going to do our best!
